Overview Connecting to Stripe will allow you to accept payments from your customers via credit card. Stripe charges a flat rate of 2.9% + 30¢ per successful charge. How to Release a Hold placed on a Customer’s Credit Card

If you place a hold on a Customer’s credit card (aka pre-authorizing a card) and decide not to charge them, Stripe will eventually release the hold after 7 days.
