Are you or your Customers/Teams/Staff seeing an error message when they click the account confirmation link?
This usually happens when the customer tries to confirm their account multiple times, and the system sends them multiple confirmation emails.
For security reasons, we have to generate a new confirmation link each time this is done. The error they are seeing is because they are not clicking on the MOST RECENT confirmation email link. They need to click on that one in order to confirm their account. Clicking on a previous one will result in an error.
What to do:
- Either a Staff member or the customer should try to confirm the account again by entering the customer’s email into the Forgot Password Page at: yoursite.launch27.com/password_resets/new
- Ask the customer to wait for 5 mins or so
- Ask the customer to check their Inbox for a Confirmation email that was delivered within the last 5 minutes. Make sure to open the MOST RECENT email
- Click the confirmation link in the email
